Chris Carey is a native of New York’s capital region. He has been a musician from a very early age, starting on piano and gradually making the transition to the world of percussion. He has been a member of many prestigious ensembles, including the Empire State Youth Orchestra. He has currently devoted himself to the drum set, studying under renowned player/educators such as Matthew Cremesio and David Calarco.

Chris is proficient in a variety of styles, such as funk, rock, latin, r&b, and blues. He mixes these styles together to forge an intense, original sound with a deep pocket and innate groove. Although his career is still in its early stages, Chris has performed with many different musicians in various different situations, and he has his sights firmly on the top of the music world.
